Medieval Banquets & Feasts

A Feast Fit For A King…

We have all learned about the extravagant feasts and banquets of the Middle Ages…menus for the wealthy were extensive and social etiquette dictated that an extensive choice of foods should be made available.

A change in society emerged when travel (prompted by the Crusades) led to a new interest in beautiful objects and elegant manners.

This change extended to food preparation and presentation resulting in fabulous food arrangements – especially when preparing a banquet which was fit for a king.

Experience the extravagance of a fabulous feast with one of our specialty Medieval Banquets at the Bull i’ th’ Thorn …sample the exotic colours and flavours of the Middle Ages and enjoy a banquet fit for a king!

The Bull i’ th’ Thorn Inn is on the Buxton – Ashbourne Road (A515) six miles south of Buxton.
