For over 500 years the Bull i’ th’ Thorn has offered a warm welcome to travellers and locals alike.
During the 18th and 19th Centuries this was a prominent Coaching Inn on the Manchester to Derby route.
We still offer a friendly and welcoming ‘old worlde’ atmosphere in our Medieval Inn and Restaurant. Choose from a range of Robinsons Ales, Guest Ales, Continental Lagers and a good selection of fine wines and spirits.
If you are hungry we offer a choice of a la carte and traditional menus. Bar snacks and lunches are served daily and be sure to try our fantastic Sunday Carvery.
We have a large function room available for all types of events and for a celebration with a difference why not try one of our Medieval Banquets?
The Bull i’ th’ Thorn offers en-suite accommodation in a ‘Traditional Inn’ environment and an adjacent field with facilities for caravans and camping.
Families are especially welcome at the Bull i’ th’ Thorn and are well catered for, with a separate children’s room, Beer Garden and play area.
